I'll add one: change manual mode on steptronic to: UP for shifting up and DOWN for shifting down. I guess, I am too logical at times. ![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

One more thing about the Steptronic, I wish they have a way to toggle between DS and M mode without having to push the lever back to D and back to DS if you are tired of manual shifting.
MB has it, if you are at the 7th gear and press up a gear one more time the tranny will change it back to auto mode. Maybe they can fix that with a simple software upgrade.

They used to have it that way. My wife's 2001 X5 is that way and I think it's very unnatural. I like it better the way it is now. My SMG is the same way and it just feels much more natural to pull the lever back to upshift.

If I had a choice then the MB setup for the transmission would be best, you just drop to D and can slap the stick left and right at anytime and it came very handy to pass on the highway without flooring it or get a quick jump at higher gears. I am sure I'll adapt, it just seems natural to me to want to push the stick up with I want to up shift and down when down shift.

Znod...does your car play mp3 cds...if it does it should play the MP3 DVDs my car does....
make sure your puting them in the DVD/Navi slot...and burning them right...
if it doesnt ask the dealer to enable mp3s and then your car will be able to read mp3s on CDs and DVDs...

Also, no indication of hifi volume level, and why not adding an option to define a volume level on start?

Yea this MPG gauge has got to go, on the 650 they have the engine oil temp in its place!!!
I was under the impression that the tire monitor with run flat tires was a sensor at each tire instead of simply measuring the circumfrence.
I won't have my 550i til next week to check but thats the way it was on my Lexus.
