I think the silver/gray family is the perfect color for any BMW, as well as black. As mentioned earlier there is a reason why they offer so many derivations, its because they are so popular. Thinking back I have never owned a BMW that wasnt in the silver/gray color family....

Man....whatever you get..do not get space gray. My 08 is space gray and to be honest, every other e60 I see either on the highway or in the town I live, is space gray. The other day ...3 e60s were at the lights..and guess what? all space gray.

I went to visit my mom...and there were two e60's in the neighbor? you guessed: space gray!

Too bad i did not go with the new bronze color. Hardly i see that one any where

Hey! I like Space Gray. At least not every E60 in Charlotte is that. At least not yet I do have the Cream Beige interior to be different.
I too am wishing for other colors and would have gotten Indianapolis Red if available. I seem to alternate between silvers and black because I love black but tire of the upkeep and heat in the south so I flip to silver. Over the years, my car colors have been light metallic green (Dodge), white (Chrysler), black (Dodge Daytona), black (Dodge Daytona), lt titanium (Ford TBird SC), fuji blue (Mitsi 3000GT), black (Mitsi 3000GT), aspen silver (540i), titanium silver (M5), black sapphire (X3), black sapphire (650i), and now space gray (550i).

The new X6 is in a nice metallic red. I hope that makes it to the E60. I'd pick that over Imola Red even though IR looked great on an E39 M5.

I really like the Monaco blue, the Deep Sea Blue, or any of the dark colors - but only when they are just washed. Once the cars are dirty, which happens pretty quick in the northeast at this time of the year, I prefer the Silver or White. I simply don't have the time to keep a dark color car clean. I am also well past the "boy racer stage" and have no desire to stand out from the crowd, so I chose Titanium Silver. Yes, it is a bit boring, but it always looks good. Plus not standing out attracts less tickets

I had three consecutive Titansilber, but I never grew tired of that colour. Makes the car look great! The current Platinum grey is a more tricky colour; neesd more maintenance.

Not me. Titanium Silver is the superior colour. When I think about changing to a different colour, a cloudy rainy, or snowy day occurs, and the Titanium Silver still shines.

I have heard that BMW will add a red and another blue as of March production in the states. All of the manuacturers are showing reds and oranges this year. In general I think different styles look better in different colors. t-silver looks great on the e90 3 but not as defining on the E60. If you are looking for resale, it has traditonally been black and sliver that are worth the most/easier to sell. I am stepping out of my silver-grey box with carbon black this time. Already stocking up on cleaning supplies.

I agree different styles need different colors to look their best. The E39, especially the M5 looked great in flatter colors (TiAg, Imola Red, LeMans Blue). I feel the E60 needs more depth (metallics, color shifting) to bring out its "flame surfacing" lines. Although Alpy White does look good on it.

Besides, having TiAg for 5 years, I didn't want it again, for variety's sake.
