Today BMW OC moved my '08 to "scheduled for production" and assigned a VIN. I know I'm scheduled for week 12 which is March 18, but I was wondering who has the earliest build? That would kind of set the pace for the rest of us suffering through our waiting!

Some EU member should win this race (it takes a while this ship the car from the Dingolfing plant in Germany).
I heard the car's will be out in Germay after March the 24th.

My 2008 BMW 528 xi went into production on Feb 27th (Talked to my dealer today)
He will get prices today(invoice-msrp today and said I should get in e-mial in a day or two
Got my VIN # , will be completed on March 8th(talked to bmwusa)

Your dealer can get the invoice pricing if you have a VIN. I have a VIN so I can tell you the invoice prices for the options I ordered:
528i--invoice $40,755
premium package--$2095
sport package--$2550
CW package--$685
xenon headlights--$730
premium sound--$1090
IPod--$365
AND, note that the delivery charge goes up to $775 (I assume for all models)
AND I was told there is some kind of 'training' fee that all dealers have to pay on all cars of $180 (sounds a little strange to me).
Also, they bumped up production for me by about 10 days.

My Ride: 530D , Msport, Deep Sea Blue , Cream Beige Dakota , Due April 2007.
Ireland calling ...... got an email from Dealer today stating car would be completed early next week and he may delivery at the end of March to me , originally told 2nd week of April . The wait is killing me its my first ever 5er.
