People are going to say that reps. are not good quality yada yada yada. I have had them on a bimmer and a benz and have had no problems once so ever. I just got some e92 19" m3 replicas with lower offset to go on my e60 this week. I plan on mounting them next weekend. I was going to get m5 wheels, but none of the ones i could find looked quite right, they looked a little off.

haven't seen rep 166 wheels yet that has the concavity of the OEM wheel...

that being said, quality and fit can be good or bad, like anything else...just verify the hub size and ET's prior to purchase

I think eurorev was selling 166 reps...they have a thread in the vendor section, just need to find it as it's rather old....

Reps are reps, they are kind of hit or miss and no guarantees. Some people have them for years with no issues and some have problems right off the bat. So just be careful and always get the brands with most positive feedback. GL

i don't think that's what we're saying. i think we're saying it's silly to imitate. maybe do it for halloween, but otherwise it's kind of bizarre IMO.

a good number of members have rep m5 bumpers and side skirts...what's that say/mean?

2 popular and well liked wheels styles are reps (vm3 vb3's and miro rep 167's). Again, nothign wrong with reps or even purchasing rep parts, as long as the quality and fittement is good....do what you like....

I feel if they look the same and fit well, why pay 4 times as much? That being said, I havent seen any M5 reps that look right. M3 E92 reps are spot on (concavity and all) . I will get some pics up next week. I think they are gorgeous on the e60, but I might be biased.

I don't think everyone is necessarily trying to imitate a 'M5' or whatever because they want a 'M5' looking wheel.

They are trying to make the car just look better and less like every other belly button car out there.

Just because a woman gets a boob job does not mean she wants to look like Pamela Anderson.
