Who makes the brightest LED angel eye for a E60?
#11
sorry to derail this thread - how do I make my pre-LCI E60 AE lights to become DRL lights? I am assuming there is some programming involved. I searched bit lots of hits & misses. I understand that the brightness won't be as much, but I would still prefer to use the AE as DRL.
thanks

Yeah you have to do it via coding ... I was the one who found it during my LCI light conversion ...
Before you put you hope out to much ... do you have LM2 in your pre-LCI? What is your '07 production date?

Thanks all for your help so far. What about these badboys? BMW CREE 25WATTS Angel Eye LED White for E39 E53 E60 E61 E63 E64 E65 E66 E87 E53 | eBay
Too risky running high powered AE's? 12 watt each side must equal a decent amount of intensity right?

There are at least 2 local vendors in this forum that deal greatly on lighting and I don't recall they offer anything 5w+ for pre-LCI cuz no matter how much power you put if the AE ring was not designed to do it it'll be just a waste.
I would recommend check w/ John@Motorcepts and/or Trinity Autosport they 2 local forum vendors here (Check Vendor Classifieds area) of why they don't offer high powered pre-LCI AE bulb ... as far as eBay stuff ... you get what you paid for ... but go for it if you trust what they said (i.e. ever wonder why no daytime shot only night ... even our dashboard light look bright at night time ).

You should have LM2 as your build is the same as mine, otherwise when in doubt you can check the sticker label on the module by the driver sidekick panel behind the cover.
Light Module is basically the computer module that control the whole light ... the programmable ECU (if you will) that deal w/ every lighting portion of the car. Our car uses signal to at least turn on/off (among others) some light not the 'ole fashion rocker switch that simply flip the +/- wire(s).
