Who loves their snow tires on a 545i/550i?

My Ride: 07' 550i sport; Sapphire Black/Auburn; sport package; steptronic; navigation with R.T.T.I.; heads up; cold weather package; Logic-7; BMW MOST ipod kit; Motorola V3 snap-in adapter; rear heated seats and rear shades; anthracite headliner; sirrius sat. radio; M-aero kit; OEM style 166 Wheels with 245/35-19 front and 285/30-19 rear Michelin PS2s.
I have dunlop wintersport M3s 18 inch 225 front and 245 rear. They were affordable. They ride and handle very nicely on dry pavement. In the snow and ice they are very stable and the steering and braking traction is very good. But I'm going to burn out the lightbulb behind the traction control sign soon!! This is what it must be like to drive a twin turbo V12 AMG. It's annoying. And I have 120-180 lbs. of sand in the trunk. The tires have about 12k on them now, so the rears have some significant wear.
Does anyone have snows on a V8 5 that allows them to pull away from a light without triggering the traction control? If so what type and size? (My Dinan software probably isn't helping matters either)

As for pulling away from a light - on dry pavement I have no trouble with that at all. No sand, either. On snow or ice, I am sure there is no snow tire that would prevent a RWD car having the power that a 545/550 has from breaking loose. It takes a light touch!

I got my E60 525i M-Tech Sport sitting on 245/40/18" Dunlop run flats winter time, In summer I will set back the M-Type 245/40/18
I did try sit it on 17" looked at it.. and told them take these rims off went to the market and got 'em 18"

I have 19" (255/40/19) Blizzak LM-22's on my M5 and they ROCK! So good in snow and ice. IT's actually quite remarkable.

I got the Per. 220 Snowsports and no problem here. 17", didn't feel I needed 18" snow tires. Traction light comes on here and there but it just really depends on my left foot the most.

Had the Dunlop M3s on my 550 and the traction control light rarely went on. 17" is the key there my friend.
Have the 18" Alpin A2s now on the M5 and the traction control light loves to come on....
