I just got mine last month, its titanium silver and I love it. The bottom of my preference order was black second to last and white last. I have owned both black and white in the past. I would not do either again. Besides, isn't silver a German racing color? For a first BMW I had to go silver. Otherwise it would be like getting a blue Ferrari. (BTW, white is also a German racing color so I invalidated my argument before anyone else could.)

id vote for alpinewhite.
Yes, 1 more vote for me.

AW shows more of the curves of the car, especially if you have the Mtech kit. I always get people saying that their next car will be white b/c black paint is PIA to maintain

heres my car with example of how the definition of AW is shown more readily than other colors:

When I ordered my car white was close to last on my list...

Now that I see all the beautiful modded AW E60's, the white would be second on my list next to Black...

For some reason IMO the whites and blacks definitly show window tint and wheels better... I also liked the smoked tail lights on the whites and blacks...

I know I have blue (which I like) but wish I stuck with my first choice "jet black"

Good luck with your purchase

alpine white really does show every detail, curve and swirv. lol i've always loved white cars though. but silver would be last on my list. all colors will look good with whatever you go with, it is a BMW, but the alpine white is amazing.

Silver! Of course I'm biased, but my next car will hopefully be AW. My E39 was black and it was a PITA.
