Either way, the car looks great. So glad I ordered mine in alpine white despite not getting to see a white m-aero E60 in person. I never even considered a white car before this - I was planning to go Monaco Blue but I saw a couple of white BMWs driving around town and was blown away. Hot stuff!

I love the silver - easy to clean and shows the lines very well. I think white is a close second though (as long as you arent in a wet/dirty prone climate that has your car dirty all the time!)

I believe that silver was Germany's racing color.
Like "British racing green" for GB and Red for Italy. I don't know if anyone used white?

In Germany, from the 1930s to early 1960s, the traditional white paint was often not applied to bare sheets of metal in order to save weight, giving rise to the term Silver Arrows. When aluminium was replaced by fibreglass materials in the 1960s, some German teams returned to white paint, while others continued to use silver.
