I "bag" on the smaller engined E60s. I don't say it because, yeah, I don't want to come off as cocky, but I can't help but think how having just the straight-six with no turbos can be any fun. Maybe I'm spoiled....we're spoiled...but if you were in the market for an E60 in 2006 you had no choice after the pricey 550 so it's fine. But that doesn't hide the fact that 535's just are more fun.
i completely understand what you mean, of course we wish for more power, a turbo, an s/c kit, etc. but theres line between saying we arent as powerful (fact) as to just flat out saying we have inferior cars due to size of our engine (especially offending people who pay for their cars and couldnt opt for a bigger engine, when you had yours paid for by someone else)

also they only had 525's and 530's around 06

Another qustion....
In canada what is the best gas station to pour gas from. I want the best gas.
Wheres the best quiality and most octanee?
and whats the minimum octane for it?

congratulation with your new ride, nice clean look, but you really need to lower the car,
(don't believe your parents said anything like lower the car will damage the car easily, that's just whole bunch of crap)

as for gas, try Supreme plus 94 from Chevron

alright i get it
im actually happy for the guy, a 535 is a practical dream car for most of the world
just didnt like his cockiness for it and bagging on the smaller-engined e60's
Im not bagging on smaller engined cars, just that I wouldn't buy (my parents wouldn't buy - just for you drlev) a bmw that was slower than a car that you could get for half the price.
Everything I said in my last thread matches with the pictures i got up...so how am I cocky?

Reallyy... well then once i get my fully loaded 535xi 08' BRAND NEW, we can compare some pics wit ur 2004 Alpine White 530i and see who has the better car
a little message he sent me:
Hey did you see my new post with pictures?
Just wondering if it still smells like a "hookers thigh"
And everything I wrote in my last post seems to be true about the car
guess you were just hatin
ladies and gentlemen of the forum, i rest my case

like i said dude, congrats on the car, have fun driving it and stay safe, just felt something was afoot (as did many other members). its just the way you replied to everything that had me replying the way i did. i never hated, its like saying i didnt like you for getting platinum when i got stuck with gold

I doubt many cars at $22,400 could pull off a win against a a 528. And look just as good.

Well im happy with the 535xi and would never buy a 528 .. just my opinion, 528 didn't feel like it was worth about $90,000 when I test drove it. 535 was the reason I got a bmw other wise I would have got a e class or rs5 or gs450h

I know this was not your point, but I don't think we should look down at the "small engine" e60s. The 530i is in my experience definitely a quick car and responsive to accelerator. Of course, it is not a "beast" like the 535 and 550.

I have the 135 style wheels on my current car, really are a very good looking set. Will be sad to see them go in a week!
