One other issue is that most people don't usually include tax when saying how much their car cost because tax rates vary so much from state to state, country to country. They just use capitalized cost price they paid, not including tax. So, for the future, I'd use that figure...might save you some more grief.
So, in your case, it's more like your dad paid $80K for the car, or so (given the final discount)...and the other stuff is just under the classification of "mods" which I wouldn't even include in your car price...and then tax.
$80K X 15% tax = $92K + $4K for exhaust & spoiler = $96K
You now have a $80K car (give or take), so everyone, give the poor kid a break!

the price without any aftermarket parts, taxes, fees, is $78,550 including the discount. But if my friends ask me how much the car is ill stick wit sayin 96g's kuz in ihghschool thats just the way things workk....
