I have a 2006 535d E61, recently there has been a whirring and sof clicking sound from the climate controkl unit i nthe dash (stops when I turn it off), it continues to function absolutely normally but the noise is a little annoying. Anyone experience a similar thing?

Same thing happened in my wife's Cayenne. Slight ticking noise that got faster as the blower speed increased, with the noise disappearing once the fan was turned off. Porsche ended up replacing the blower fan under warranty. Have your dealer check it out?

You might be able to get the blower replaced under warranty.

Warranty expired 3 months ago without a single claim, isn't that always the way!

I got the same problem. Blower makes noises when it is on at a high speed. My warranty expired in October....

No matter... If you have a good relationship with your dealer, ask for a goodwill repair. They have a lot of leeway with these things. G/L

You sure the noise you're referring to is blower-related? Depending on the sound, you might be hearing the whirring/clicking of the Nav DVD or a CD in on of the slots...
