Mine are in the driver's door pocket as well. They're in a soft case that fits in there very nicely and never comes out. I guess the new car will have some deeper pockets so it'll be even better...

I have a large cylindrial Oakley case that does not fit on the door. I keep it in the pocket in the back of the passenger seat so I can reach it while driving.

All these ideas work well enough for each individual but when one thinks that we own what is touted as a premier touring/luxury vehicle (don't get me wrong I love my BMs) the storage is pretty dire. Apart from some very basic door panel pockets and a small net thingy on the passengers side, there is absolutely nowhere to keep anything to hand. An iPOD and a phone take care of the cetre console and that is about it. I hate to bring up the Toyota word, but I was given a Yaris loaner and there was so much visible and concealed storage available I suspect that I would need to take the wife along just to find what I wanted.

On the passenger seat. Every other time someone gets in, they sit on them and I need to buy some new ones. My sunglasses expenditure is the reason I'll never be able to afford an M5... Such is life.

In my pocket. If no pocket I probably lose them. Then I go to the Wal*Mart and buy some new for $7.99 :cool

Just a question here: does anyone make an aftermarket sunglass holder replacement for the panic handle on the drivers side? I feel this is a worthless feature. In both Audi's and VW's I have owned in the past, I was able to purchase a perfectly matching sunglass holder that replaces the handle in this area. It was a great place for sunglasses, I have attached what I am talking about in my VW Bora:

I keep my sunglasses in a case that I put in the pocket behind the passenger seat. The Oakleys are in a big cylindrical case that is too big for most common storage spots. It will not fit in the door pocket. I am not happy about this set up but my new 08 should have bigger door pockets. I can usually reach across and grab the case with my right hand. Clearly less than ideal.
