Oh, when you said the arrow was moving I thought you meant actual movement instead of just turning.
In that case I'm very sure that you're simply missing the antenna.
Your car's direction obviously comes from a different module.

I don't see any reason someone would just remove the antenna instead of replacing it (given the effort).
Therefore, it's probably a good investment of time to check behind the CCC for any lose cables.

So I was able to have a look tonight
The top black plug was connected but there was no blue plug
I bought an after market GPS sender for a BMW so I plugged it in but still nothing
I have attached a picture of the screen
You can see me in the ocean and the direction point that just rotates in the same position

My last idea is to leave it plugged in and drive around a bit, in case you haven't done that already.
I don't know much about the GPS so I can't help you any further.

From what I see the CCC's GPS might actually just be broken.

I do not remember where it is, but there is a secret menu that will show which (if any) satellites the car is seeing. It's a hold down idrive for x seconds, and then a series of twists sort of operation. I used basically the same antenna as you when I retrofitted GPS into 2 E60s and it worked fine, but if i remember right, the results were not instant. I think i drove to a parking lot with a clear view of the sky and sat there for a while before it corrected. Same thing when i retrofitted sirius. The fact that you do not have the factory antenna makes me wonder if yours was a retrofit. Run your vin and see if it was a factory option.

In the case of unique Asian countries such as Japan,
Navigation is separately installed in the trunk.
It is different from CCC of EU countries.

The GPS signal is connected to the blue connector of the DVD navigation of the trunk.

Look at the attached file.(X14242)
Good Luck:D

So today I disconnected the non genuine GPS from the front that I had connected and found the blue GPS in the back as per the above diagram

I connected the new GPS and will test it tonight as I need to go on the highway

I have included pictures of the unit in the boot as the diagram

I connected the new GPS in the rear but there was no change

Now I am wondering if the rear unit with the navigation disc is working ?

I will check it out this weekend
