So I want to lightly smoke just the turn signal area of my tail lights. I found a source from searching that sold them (carcustomz.com) but after over two weeks of no response from them I cancelled my payment via Amex. I still want to get the overlays though so I was hoping that someone here could point me in a new direction. Thanks for the help.

 

So, if I understand your question you are looking for a shop that would smoke your current lens turn signal area? I'd start with a canvas of your local area custom body shops. Wherever you go, even though this is a "small" job, you should see examples of their work and ask for references.

Maybe some posters local to your area in AZ could help ... give them a few days to read your posts.

Lots of them have day jobs that interrupt the time they should be spending on this forum

You need to have patience with them. It took me just over 2 weeks to get mine, after I placed my order with them online. I've ordered this film from them on 3 different occassions and I received them all. You'll get it. This is the only place online that sells the exact, laser cut film for this section of the tails. It's worth the wait.

I also had my old taillights on my 530 sprayed by Jonstintedtails.com too. That too, was a great job, but it's permanent and it was for the entire light. I didn't opt for that choice on the new car. Go with the film and just be patient.

 

Good to know Calton. I guess I will find out if they are coming through since AMEX is already trying to contact them. I'm a bit more cautious after all of the Detto/Quad M crap I see on here. Granted it's only $25 but I still am not fond of throwing away my money. I ordered my film on the 8th from them and have emailed them and contacted them via the website link several times all without response so I was getting suspicious. My final email basically said I wanted some kind of update before I contacted AMEX and when I never got one I made the call. Maybe American Express will contact them and I'll finally get my film or at least an update. Thanks for the help!

You'll get the tint, assuming AMEX didn't reverse the charge and credit you back the money.

 

Check above for what the film tint looks like. I posted a picture of my current tails with the film for the signal. You can look at the difference, as the white M5 next to mine has nothing. Here is a picture of my old car with the lights sprayed a LIGHT smoke from Jonstintedtails.

 

Well just as you said Calton the tints came in, about 3 weeks later but they came in. So I installed them today.

Looks great! Are those the light ones? I believe they are, right? Mine look darker, which is why I ask. I know they sell 2 shades.
