During the past 3 weeks, I have driven from Louisville, Kentucky to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and back, and from Louisville to Oklahoma City where I am now. That's a couple thousand miles and only today did I see an E60. What's the deal?

It might be the area's that your were driving. If you're in a more metro area you'll see many more.

These aren't exactly Toyotas. Here in Albany, the capital of New York, we have two dealers and I can honestly say that I have seen more new 6 series than other 545/550s in the 7 months I have had mine. Two of those 6 sightings were recent, at my club; the other passes in the opposite direction everyday on my commute. (the club is probably the epicenter for hardware: a couple of Bentleys, a Quadroporte, lots of E39s and 7s and 2 recent E60s (525ixs) And both dealers are members, but I don't count their 7s)

I've seen (read: mistaken) a lot of the new 3s though. If I recall correctly, E60 sales figures didn't take off until mid-to-late last year.

There are a LOT of E39s still out there.

Cheers,
Ray Hull

Hey that happens in everywhere. I chat a lot with people that own an E60 and, you know, I never meet anyone. The fact is that I go up and down for roads and hardly see one or two e60s. I think that is an effect of chance.

I see at least 4 others every day on my commute. That must be because of leaving on a densely populated island.

I'm in a fairly small town, but rare is the day I don't see one or two other E60s on the road....usually 525 or 530s. Lately, I keep seeing E60 M5s everywhere.......

Ditto. If I leave durring rush hour I actually see more in my 10 mile drive. But that's in an area with more than 6 dealers.

You should come to the northeast (Boston). They are everywhere. Mostly 525i, 530(x)i. My car used to be faily unique back in 2004 - but not anymore.

We're in the same area - I see tons. If you really want to see a lot of them (and feel really bad about how crappy your car is) take a trip to Tysons II Galleria. I heard an engine start up in the garage that whipped my head around last time I was there - it turned out to be a yellow F430. I generally see a -ton- of E60s there.

While these cars are more common than they used to be, there are still very few sport packages around. Far fewer than the regular ones. I rarely see one like mine.
