A neighbor of mine told me his wife had the "new" 530i on order in Sept. '03. Hers was the first I saw, probably one of the first delivered in San Diego. Jet black on black. I liked the styling immediately, just took a while to get one for myself!

I was invited to a VIP showing here in Helsinki in the Spring of 2003.
They where showing a 530i and a 530d.
