beewang, you don't have to care about the facelift after 2 years anymore. You're getting the M E60 soon anyway....

Does anyone recall if there was only one M Sports Package available for the life of the E39 model. I only ever remember seeing one version which only became available (here in SA) after the facelift.

Just hope there will only be one MSposts Pack for the life of the E60.
Otherwise :'( :'( :'(

In 2 years if he gets the M5, he might need a facelift after all that grinning he'll be doing...

He will not need a facelift, the acceleration of his M5 E60 is lifting his face...

I think there was one for the last years of the 540 E39. I don't think the body will change until 2010.

Yeah don't count on it. The only problem with not changing their models after like 6-8 years is that they get so boring after a while (not bored with the E60 yet )

I didnt get bored with the E39 style... not until mid 2004 did I get bored of it by seeing more E60s side by side... Thats when the E39 looked outdated... other than that it looked AWESOME!!!!!!! even if it was a 7 year old design.

The Msports bumpers were available here in SA before the facelift as a retrofit kit (had a 99 540i with it on ) . We could only order them from the factory through BMW SA after the facelift.

But yes, there was only one

When I see an E39 that someone obviously looks after, I still think it is a great looking car. The thing that I find most dated is the interior and esp. the electronics.
