Hey,MDK. Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you're getting well informed information before you decide to get the 124. Now we know there's to different offsets of the same style.

rhnorb, As for the shipping, you can get four boxes side 24 x 24 x 24 via FedEx. The wheels and tires should fix. Just make sure to stuff the face of the wheel to prevent damage in shipment. Regarding the cost, it should not cost less than $200 to ship all four wheels and tires. Check with FedEx Ground to confirm the ship to and ship from zip codes. The weight on each item is about 65 lbs.

See if you can hook MDK up.
I am now hearing that the tpm (tire pressure monitoring system) on the 08 is different from the 124 style in previous years. There may be an update of the 124 style for 07-08? What year did it change?

Thanks for the help! YOU GUYS JUST SAVED ME A LOT OF MONEY FROM A COSTLY BUYING ERROR!!

Thanks for the info on shipping. I may put the wheels/tires on Ebay. I bought them when I first got the car, thinking I liked them much better than the stock 17 inchers. I put the 17's back on for the winter, and have never taken them off. So the 124s with tires have just sat in my garage.

Unfortunately I'm not sure how I would ship 4 mounted tires and wheels.
I ordered a set of staggered RWD 124s mounted with PS A/S tires in October. They were new takeoffs from a 550i. The seller shipped UPS Ground and put each tire/wheel in a standard UPS box with a couple of old pillows to protect the face of each wheel, and a bunch of pop paper to fill the box and behind the wheel. Seller charged me $160 from Dallas to St. Louis. Probably a bit more zone-wise from WA to IN, but not too much I doubt. They were shipped on Friday and delivered to my door on Monday...and the boxes weren't even dirty!

I know BMW changed the way they measure tire inflation, but I'm just not sure which year. I know in 05 and probably 06, it was based on the rotation of each wheels; there were no TPM sensors. For sure, the TPM sensors are on the 07 and 08.
