I am new, just took delivery of my new 528xi this week. I hate the wheels. I have a line on a new set of sport wheels (style 124) off a 2008 535i, are they bolt on to my car without modifications?

xi wheels do not fit the standard RWD E60 and vice versa. However, BMW does make the 124's and 123's in the higher offset, which is made specifically for the xi models. Just keep in mind that the 124's for the RWD have a "deeper dish" look to them due to the offset. This is very noticeable when looking at the rears on the RWD E60 with 124's and the XI E60 with the 124's.
Here are the 123's for the AWD E60 (note the offset of ET43):

Here are the 124's for the AWD E60 (note the offset of ET43 for the front and ET55 for the rear, should you want to go staggered):

Or you can go with staggered 19's, like my wheels, which are the M3 CSL wheels.

The xi wheels have a slightly different offset from the non x-drive e60s. I've got a set of 124's (from a 530xit), complete with mounted and balanced tires, with less than 1000 miles on them....I'd be more than happy to sell them to you but you'd have to pick them up in Seattle.

Are yours staggered or ET43 at all 4 corners? Staggered would be my choice, if I were to do the 124's. ET55 is the offset in the rear.

rhnorb, As for the shipping, you can get four boxes side 24 x 24 x 24 via FedEx. The wheels and tires should fix. Just make sure to stuff the face of the wheel to prevent damage in shipment. Regarding the cost, it should not cost less than $200 to ship all four wheels and tires. Check with FedEx Ground to confirm the ship to and ship from zip codes. The weight on each item is about 65 lbs.
See if you can hook MDK up.

Hey,MDK. Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you're getting well informed information before you decide to get the 124. Now we know there's to different offsets of the same style.
