Your thought's

I have been driving this week more than 600 km on black ice, ice and snowy icy roads,
and I can only bless the BMW's DSC system.

My car has used this week all its DSC, CBC, ABS, DTC etc but I have had no problems!

I have winter tires without spikes and the car has been handling just great.
Good deal Rr. Take care though.

You get less DTC with DSC on. If you want more DTC and less DSC, then turn DSC off by pushing DTC.
Are you sure about this? Isn't DTC fully on while DSC is fully on.

I would have thought so to but it seems it isn't
I don't think DTC is fully on when DSC is fully on, but many things are just word of mouth so I am not 100% positive. In this regard, the manual does not explain things very well. But, if your manual is like mine, it says something like use DTC in the snow. I think the point is that DTC forces both wheels to spin about the same rate in, for example, snow by reducing the wheel spin of the faster spinning wheel (like an LSD) for better grip and, thus, traction. With both DSC and DTC on, I think that the effect of DTC is lessened in the sense that very little, if any, wheel spin is allowed no matter what--which would not be good for navigating in the snow.

And, I have to admit that I have not actually experienced these things on a slippery surface. All, I have experienced is that I get no wheel spin on a dry surface with both DSC and DTC on, while sometimes I get a little wheel spin on such a surface with DSC off.

I'll wait for further enlightenment.
