My Ride: Metallic gray '05 545i Sport Black Leather with HUD, Step, Nav, PDC, CWP, K&N Air Filter, Black RPI scoop, Black painted calipers, 35% F1 Pinnacle tint, 19" RDSport RS-2F rims with Continental ExtremeContact DWs.
Aside from looks, what size wheel fits a 545 sport best for performance and ride? Or, should I lower the car with lowering springs and stay with 18s?

For performance no other tire size gives more, but for looks 18" or 19" rims will.
But for performance on a racetrack the suspension (the hole chassis) is the key.
Larger wheels and a stiffer chassis will eat a lot of your cars comfort, though.

Gotta go with 20's... The ride feels almost exactly the same when you get quality wheels and tires. If you have a sport package, you don't even need to lower it... Welcome aboard and good luck in your search for 20's!!!

19" for the conservative look. 8.5 in the front and 10 in the back.
