Hi guys......It's been a while but spring is around the corner and you know what that means.....Summer wheels are about to go on. Here's my dilemma. I was originally running stock oem 124's staggered setup. I wanted to go to 19's last year so I bought a set of Breyton Race GTS wrapped in Bridgestones. The wheels were cast so I was concerned how they would hold up on the streets of New York. Needless to say I found out the hard way, I bent 2 of them badly and have decided to get another set of wheels to fit the Bridgestones. My choices are the 166's, 128's and 124's. Which of these would hold up the best? As far as looks what do you guys think would look best ? Thanks again

you are comparing with 19"and 18"... more rubber you haveon wheels, better protection you would get...
i would go for 18" in NYC but i heard many 124goes bad in NYC......
My 19" Mrr went bad when i went to NYC and hit one pothole...
so your Breyton are bent now?

166's unless you want to go with the 21" 128s, but that requires new tires

Those OEM rims you mentioned are cast wheels also. If you want a stronger OEM, try the 167's....they're forged!

My choices are the 166's, 128's and 124's.
Go for original BMW wheels and don't forget the 172's.
128's and the 172 M's have the exactly right ET's for a E60.
What about the 167 M's, they are about the wides one can fit on a E60.

i believe OEM style 249's are also forged...(stock LCI 650 wheels)
they are a nice mix of 167's and 128's IMO...
