Hey guys I was wondering would a offset of 42 be way off on a 2007 525i (non-xi)? I am trying to order some winter wheels for my little sister's E60.

I have a 535xi and I am pretty sure an offset of 42 would be ok with my E60.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

It will be WAY off. I have seen it in person - looked very weird with the wheels pushed in. Roughly, they will be in by 2cm (42 vs. 20). Maybe this picture will help.

Yes, 42 offset will fit perfectly on your XI. BMW recommends 35-43mm offsets on XI models and around 20mm offset on non-XI models. It also slightly depends on how wide your rim is but I am assuming you are working with standard size rims.
