Wheel Help and your opinion needed
So, i think i may have stumbled upon a set of wheels I might be happy with and wanted your opinion as well as technical guidance as to whether the fitment will cause any problems.
I have a Jetblack 525i with no sport package.
I am thinking of going for 19" or 18" wheels. Moda MD2 they are called, and I guess they are pretty new. They look kinda cool to me, specially on the car.
Technical details about the wheels :
Wheel Offset: 15mm
Weight: 34.5 lbs
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Heres what they look like :

Your advice and opinion is much appreciated.
Thanks

OEM applications for 18" are ET20 on 8J and for 19" ET18 on 8.5J.
Are you going for staggered wheels?
Ill have to admit, im not too well versed with the terminologies on these wheels, so some education might be necessary.
I beleive the width of the rim is 8" on the 18's and 8.5" on the 19's which is consistent with what you mentioned.
Staggered wheels? ... could you please elaborate?
Thanks

Staggered wheels are set-up in a way where the front wheels are narrower than the rears (or AKA rears are wider than the fronts). For example, I'm running 20x8.5 fronts and 20x10 rears.
I believe those rims should work in 19x8.5 all around.

If you go for the 18's, put 245/40 tyres on, for 19's go for 245/35. (The staggered option has 275's on the rear - looks better and arguably better traction at the powered end)
The 15mm offset will cause the wheels to stick out a little more, only by a few mm - this should be fine.
Thanks for your help guys. I know what you mean by staggered...
I dont think i can go with staggered with those particular wheels, and I think i should be ok. Im thinking of going with 18's with 245/40 tires on there... prolly non run flats since ive heard the ride isnt that good with the run flats.
While im at it... anyone seen any similar wheels that they could recommend to me. Im not completely sold on those wheels, just thinking of them as a good option.
Do you really think I will have to lower the car in order for those to work, cause I really dont want to have to do that.
Thanks for all your help. The forum is awesome

By going from 20mm to 15mm offset this radius is reduced by 5mm which will have an impact on above mentioned self stabilizing effect. Ever wondered why BMW offers various offsets for the rear wheels but always sticks to the standard 20mm for the various front wheels they offer?
Of course, if it is just about looks, please forget everything above.
