Wheel compatibility between 545i and 530xi

I have some winter wheel and tires from my 2006 530xi sport (which was traded in a while ago) and I have a person interested in purchasing them for use on his 2004 545i sport. It looks like the bolt pattern and size are correct, but the offset for my wheels is 40mm and the offset for the 545i is +20mm. Can these work as is or with spacers? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

With some serious spacers, yes, but I'm not sure I'd recommend this. I'd sell to an "xi" buyer, just to be safe.
