Still on first tank of gas and getting about 20.2 mpg. Avg. speed is about 33 mph.
Mileage should get better as the car is broken-in.

I get 36 US mpg (or about 43 UK mpg) in mixed city/hwy driving.
As my driving is normally calm bordering on numb I?m not as impressed as those figures might look to some of you.
Same driving characteristics would make my previous e46 320D give 50 US mpg without much effort (of course smaller, lighter and not as powerful car but a 30% increase in diesel consumption is still a bit much for a newer car and engine touted as a breakthrough in low consumption)
The numbers are calibrated and consistent after driving around 20000 us miles in 6 months
