Firstly sorry this topic is UK specific!

I followed a 2003 545 today for the first time since the E60 was launched so I realise its not a popular model what with ?1 a litre fuel costs so just wondered what's the most popular model in the UK. My guess would be the 525d followed by the 520i.

So what do you drive?

merv, from the outside, it would also be nice if you had your numbers broke down by M-sports vs. non M-sports...perhaps one day BMW NA will realize how lucrative the market is for these models that sell at a premium

Yes agree - its unbelievable you can't order the std M sport pack car in the US when you consider the size of the market. I suppose on E60.net we are the minority of E60 owners.

When I bought mine the 530d's where selling fast. The dealer said he struggled to sell the equivalent 530i because the D made so much sense in this country...

The 530/535d seems to be the enthusiasts choice, on this forum anyway, however I think in reality the popular choice in the UK is the tax beating 525d soon to be overtaken by the 520d.
