you know there are subs under the front seats....
Maybe replace them with some new amps...

There are BMW sound specialist around that know how to upgrade these. Google them and have a chat to get a better list of possible options..

I have a 545i with the Logic 7 system, and I hear bass... I was told and have read there are subs under the seats but at first glance I see nothing - are they flush with the floor?

Sorry, It's all I have. If you can open it in Windows without the conversion and print it you can read everything. However, if you have no amp in the trunk or subs underseat you'd have to take the signal from the headunit and run them through an amp. Do some research on how to remove the headunit (CCC?) and go from there.
