Mine's around 550-600.

I think the neighbors would call the cops if it idled at 10,000

Yea I would think that is a slightly high idle. What would it be at when you are doing 120MPH down the highway? About 300,000 RPM? Thats one hell of an engine. I also think a 10k RPM would decrease your gas milage quite a bit. But I think you would NOT have to worry about stalling. Well maybe the red line sensor would cut it off.

i finally remember to check...mine is around 550-600 and always w/ac on.
