My Ride: Arrived 3 June 2005: 2005 545i - Orient Blue, Black interior, Sport, Steptronic, Cold Weather, NAV, Sirius, Logic7, Comfort Seats, Sunshades. What a glorious ride!
2005 model, build May 05. About 26,000 miles. I drive the bejeepers out of it! Daily driver.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
14K and going in for its first oil service Tuesday. It is my daily driver, except in nice weather if I choose to ride my Moto Guzzi. But since I hate city/rush hour traffic while on a bike, it's usually the 545.

Being able to walk to work is pretty cool. It's also helpful if your law office has a fully stocked bar, and everyone is constantly coming by for happy hour, at all times of the day.
I was in Los Angeles for business last week, and had a driver (BMW 745), and I was painfully reminded about "really big city" life, specifically: 1. How many miles it takes to get somewhere, and; 2. How long it takes to get there.
