3. Bullet-proof Reliability

HATE MY E60:
1. No touchscreen SatNav
2. Soft topcoat and windscreen glass prone to chips
3. Splashy headlight washer
4. Folding rear seat, power outlet in boot not standard
5. Cant take 20" rims without significant mods + unsettled ride

iDrive - slow and clumsy
Interior fit & finish is no where near rivals (Audi / Lexus)
The knowledge that the CCC TCU and one of the gazilion sensors will go wrong and when it does the $dealer will have me licked

Love the car, unique style and appearance, great ride, nice handling, drive train is the best in the world. My affection is limited to the machine tho. The iDrive user interface/menu tree is plain silly. Even the stealer doesn't understand all the stuff. The NAV system is completely stupid, tho I hear the '10 will be better (mine is an '09). I've had a TomTom and currently a Garmin and either make the BMW NAV seem like a very bad joke. I also don't like the fact that you have to push the shift lever forward to go backward and backward to go forward. Nor do I like the iPod i/f, you push the up arrow on the wheel to scroll down on the screen and visa versa. The whole system is slow to respond. What were they thinking? Give me back the machine and forget all the gizmos.

I do nott think that the SB totally cures the throttle lag in my 2009 Steptronic 550i Sport. It reduces the lag but does not eliminate it altogether. But once the power does come on at WOT, it is significantly stronger with SB than without it.
