As far as I know everything is possible with enough money. The push start would be very, very pricey I believe. I think the Keys where replaced in 2007? Maybe 2008? Not quite sure. It was probably an upgrade with the LCI cars so probably 2007. As far as the rear sensors...do you mean the Park Distance Control (PDC)? You can activate it simply by going into reverse.

Mine's a March '06 (xx06 xxx plate) Build and it's got the sexy push in fob thingy and start/stop button. No idea when they actually started being standard though. Sorry.

Hi Russ,
The Push Start came out in 2005, so you may have got one of the run out (lower powered) cars.
As for the PDC, just go into reverse, and the iDrive should then display a picture of your car.
Some early cars came without PDC, but I would have thought that your car should have them being an '05.
Forward of the gear lever there should be a switch with a P and a symbol on it. Make sure that this is off i.e. the light in the switch is not glowing, as this switches the PDC.
No switch, No PDC I would guess.
Mike

its strange because i test drove a 2litre SE 6months ago and it had the cool key fob
and this is a 55 reg sept so pretty much 06, 2.5litre sport and its got the peasent key fob weird
will email bmw see how much new keyfob / start button would cost LOL

this is a retro fit and all the wiring is there by your light switch, you just replace the switch and then change your steering wheel/squib/rotor, you then have to get the key coded to the new module (as well as buying 2 new fobs)
