I also considered a C32 or C55, but I really wanted a manual, so I got the 545.

Here are the other cars I considered in this group when deciding: Audi S4, Volvo S60R, Caddy CTS-V, Dodge Charger SRT8, Infiniti G35... and a handful of others. I actually really like hte Infiniti M45 as well, but that doesn't have a manual either.

I was looking at a c32 when shopping for cars. Ended up with my 525, not nearly as fast, but I love the ride, and handling is great.

hard to believe that c32 would be way slower then 525, esspecially if he is looking at a c32 amg. However that being said I also went with the bmw 325xi over a mb c class even before I traded the 325xi for the 530i.

Aren't the c classes more in line with the 3 series?

Go with the 04/05 545i with sport package.

C32's at that time where still basically a big engine in a small car. MB didn't really do much with the suspension overall. Last year or so though they've step it up in the handling department and now there AMG's actually handle decent. Plus I find the C32's starting to look a little dated. Though I always thought they where sharp looking cars at the time.

I guess it also depends on what your looking to spend????
