I test drove the RS4 before I turned in my S4. I truly thought I would go that route. There is no question the RS4 is fast, Relatively rare (around here anyway), and a blast to drive, but I needed a bit more room and I think the B7 design looks pretty dated now. I am happy I went with the 535. As for the M5.... an absolute BEAST, but way to hungry for gas and I was not crazy about the SMG. I know you can get it now with stick shift, but that engine was built specifically for SMG. I much preferred the e39 M5 over the e60 M5.

I agree the S5 looks very nice, but around here S5s are hard to get and are going for MSRP and slightly above at some dealerships. Simply not worth it IMO.

That is why I will let someone else pay the depreciation...I am not a fan of getting brand new cars...(almost new does it for me)

I'd like to get some sort of a beautifully restored classic German car, maybe a BMW 2002, that really feels like you are driving it on the edge when going 80 mph.
My 535 is so super sweet, but I have to admit that I miss that white knuckle driving adventure.
