First ride 1966 mustang Gt...........second owner.......i still own it and it rides like crap......but it's worht a good amount of $$$

next 1990 mustanf GT convertible 5.0 royal blue over grey w/ white top. Paxspn suprcharger,,,straight pipes,,,,an absolut rocketship...i can't believe im alive

then 1982 cadillac cuopdeville....my bumper sticker read "shitbox from hell" i think that explains it.

1994 ford explorer............whats to say

1998 audi a6 3.2.....at this point my favorite car ever and thought i would always own an audi..QUATTRO ROX

2005 Acura TL......was tired of paying high priced service issues w/ the AUDI ....totaled in an accident 10/31/07 8:30 a.m.

finally I get to My 530xi i'm still in my honeymoon stage and i'm in love....i just purchased my first mod. BBS RGR 19's in diamond black. For sneakers I chose the new Bridgestone Potenza A960 pole positions. Ill be lowering it w/ eiback springs also. This is by far the most solid car I've owned. And before I bought the xi I test drove the new Audi A5.....it flat ot stinks. For 60k i'd expect alot more. Was never so sad after a trest drive.

My trip down memory lane (the early years....):

72' MGB-British racing green. 4 banger with duel carbs-had to sync the carbs every week. Engine was weak, handling poor but the rag top really worked wonders for the mojo. Yeah baby! <Austen Powers accent> Wrecked it, nearly killed me too.

69' Datsun 510, manual 4 speed long stick-bought from junk yard for $125. Was one of the first "general purpose" cars with over head cam and aluminum head and independent suspension. My 1st engine Rebuild. Dropped in 240Z pistons. Was a super sleeper, rust bucket that would smoke anything but high end exotics. Loaned it out to friends in high-school. 30 years later, my friends still talk about that car.

65' Toyota Corona, Mark II. Kind of the opposite of the 510-a pig. The cover of the owner's manual said, "The most popular chauffeur driven car in Taiwan." a real mojo killer but hey, I needed reliable wheels in college.

Shrink friend of mine tells me that you can learn a lot about the mind of a person by what he reads, I wonder what profiles he could come up with reading some of these collections of cars you guys have posted. I already know I'm nuts:

(in order of purchase)

74 Ford F250 - First ride
77 Pontiac Trans Am - 8 track, Black with the Fire Chicken and T-tops 185 hp - Traded for the RX-7 - still cringe when high school friends recall the bandit days
79 Ford F-350 - Retired to the Ranch
81 RX-7 GS - 294,000 miles, most reliable car I ever owned - Gave it to the Mechanic when I bought a townhome with just a 2 car garage
83 911 SC - gave to girl friend
87 928 S4 - Perhaps the finest road car Porsche ever made - traded in for 964
90 Ford 350 - Opec cries at the demise of the 460 engine
91 Porsche 964 Cabrio - still my summer driver
94 Ford Taurus SHO - Bought on a whim, fun car, first sedan (turned 30, decided I needed to look mature) 83hp per lt.
96 Ford Bronco - Traded for the Expedition
97 Porsche 993 Twin Turbo S - Only car ever bought that has appreciated in value
97 Ford Expedition Bauer - Worst Ford ever owned
2000 Volvo V70 R AWD -first car bought for new wife.
1994 BMW 3251 Cabrio - a whim purchase - kick myself for selling it
2003 Ford F350 powerstroke
1995 Ferrari F355 - owned for less than 22 hours - apparently when wife says do what ever you want does not mean do what ever you want
2005 Ford F350 power stroke - 6.0 no where near the 7.3 in terms of power - first truck with a sun roof. Family in Wyoming had a field day with that
2004 Range Rover HSE - Wife had to have it - bye bye Volvo
2007 BMW 550i - Still the car I consider the benchmark in which all others are compared to - plus, how can you go wrong with a car that diagrams how to load golf clubs
2008 Porsche 997 Twin Turbo Cabrio - on order, feb delivery - good bye 964

1984 Subaru Wagon - It was a tank - Couldn't kill it... Trust me I tried
1987 Honda Accord - Total
1984 Jeep CJ-7 - Most fun I have ever had with a vehicle - Rock climber - Out-wheeled most of the competition
1985 Camaro - Built a 350 hp 350ci monster and swapped out the weak 305 ... Poured a ton of time/money into this car...
Learned alot about cars.. Twisted a rod and sold it for pennies on the dollar
2000 Nissan Altima - Very reliable - not a bad car at all
2001 Nissan Maxima - Again, very reliable - never had one problem
2003 Nissan Maxima - Could not stay away - Car never had a problem
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited - Constant problems - Tranny - U-Joints- Rear differential - Heater unit etc...
2005 Volvo s60R - Very quick little car... Small Turbo - Terrible turning radius(I mean terrible) some wheel rub. Stiff
suspension (Liked it) unless you hit a pothole. Kickass stock radio
2008 BMW 535xi - Im in love! We will see if it lasts

My previous ride: riced out Honda Civic(3yrs during high school) & Mustang(4 yrs+ during college & still have it)

compare to e60 which i've been had for only a month now to my old cars:

+: I can feel that girls are checking me out more often with "woooo sexy" expression on their faces, e60 has both sporty and luxury side, big trunk

-: Coming from riced out Civic and Mustang w/ SLP Loudmouth muffler, my e60 is too quite, heavy, & not really fun to drive, parts are too expensive (overpriced) for mod
MB C230 kompressor
MB E280
Lumina SS
Honda Accord...

There is nothing I Drove like the 550
