Would anyone know which version of the software I would have? My production date was May, 2004. I do not have most of the problems that others have talked about. The only prob I have had is that on 2 occasions when I started the car my radio presets were gone, but after I shut it off and back on they would be back. Also my windows and sunroof will not close after the key has been turned off.

I also wish that they would make the garage door opener work with the key off. It is essentially no drain on the battery.

The radio still plays when you shut the engine off, doesn't it?
I've not tried the garage door opener, but isn't it working in position 1, where the radio works?

Ok, so at least you doesn't need to have the engine running to open or close the door...

BMW has some trouble with connecting things permanently to the battery of the e60. Everything needs to be shut off for some strange reason. I would really like to have the power outlets/cigarette lighter to be on all the time, but that would cause some trouble in the cars power management.
My dealer will switch them to position one, so that they work until you pull the key out. And that's why I was asking, because I would have asked him to do the same with the garage door opener...
