What is up with the name of BMW leathers?

I think My 3 series had Montana leather, my current 5 has Dakota Leather and the LCI had Nevada Leather?

Correction.......the X6 has Nevada Leather

LCI 5ers can have Dakota or Nasca leather; not Nevada.....at least not here.

It is very difficult to voo hardcore ford-gm-chrysler fans to try a german made car. Lots of people just dont want to look at it cause its not made in america (most of them).

So the marketing department at bmw tried this trick to somehow make bmw look american friendly.

Never heard of Nevada leather. I have Dakota. I'm not a fan of the Nasca leather. It's too soft for my tastes. Feels cheap and fake.
