I use the BMW-branded oil, I buy from the dealership's parts dept, use my discount, comes out to about 5.75/qt. The oil is the same thing [allegedly] as the Castrol Synthetic 0w30, if I'm not mistaken. But there are SO many threads on this subject - no one can recap everything that has been said for you - your best option really is to
