What is transmission slam?

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
I suppose it means that one fools the autotrans programmed data ...

The slam that I had was a software issue that was resolved by an update. It was really a harsh downshift into 1st, from 2nd, mainly if you were rolling to almost stopping and then hit the accelerator. Very annoying, but got the new software update and has not happened since.

Luckily I have no such problem.
My old E60 was not that smooth, I probably had the slam issue on that.
