Usually I just go by the sticker in the door jam, which states 32 in front and 35 in rear for under 100 mph. And 100+ states 38 Front and 42 Rear.

I might break 100 on a longer trip if I'm alone but dont plan on doing it day to day, but i went slightly over recommended and put 33 Front and 37 Rear. Curious as to what others are doing. Thanks.

I have sports package with the regular wheels they put on it(think 124's)

I'd go to the 38/42 settings ... though splitting the difference 34/38 is pretty OK too. The lower pressures (32/35) soften the ride a bit ...but only just a bit for RFTs.

You can run anything between the maximum and minimum pressures. I start with what's on the door placard and add on some extra psi since I prefer a firm ride. Then tweak a pound or two till I sense perfection.

40 all around for 19s? Does that include the Pot Hole and the "Get out of the way Dumb Curb" too?
I bet the 32 PSI at fronts suggested is to protect just that... Bent rims, suspension, and yes add to racing desired gripage...

it is stamped on the tire. did anyone ever think of just putting in the amount of air suggested by the manufacturer?

Sorry, but the PSI stamped on the tire is the MAX tire pressure; The BMW recommended tire pressure for the tires on your car is [as previously posted] on the door jamb.
