I have them in my 2005 Acura MDX too...but they are a bluish color.

The amber lights over the console area are standard, while the lights in the door panels are part of the Ambient Light package, which is part of the premium pack in US but is a separate stand alone option in other markets. Not sure what year this arrived, but mine is an early 2007, with console lights only (and door lights about to be added).

I had a 2011 ford Taurus for a rental, it had a few ambient lights in the doors and foot well, it was pretty cool there was a button to change the colours are turn them off completely, it had about four different colours.
