What is this TERRIBLE engine noise?

it should be the belts. my old car used to do that also.

One of two things:
Alternator pulley bearing
One of the belt tensioners

Judging by the noise, I'd say alternator pulley.

i'd change the belt, and while you're at it, spin the idler pulleys to see how they sound. usually the bearings get dry after a while.

i tried the belt dressing, and it just made the noise worse. the problem with aged belts is that the ribs get glazed/smooth and then squeek when rubbing against the pulley ribs.

I replaced my belt due to that noise, I also lubed the bearings.

sounds like one of the tensioner pulleys has a bad bearing in it

If it's not the turbos or the supercharger, it must be a clogged fetzer valve.

one of your pulleys went bad, nothing major but you should have it checked out before is locks up on you.

@navin thanks i read the CDesign post and its exactly like what i have. Sometimes i get slight jerks when i step on the car and i also get this increased immision light randomly. The only bad thing is that i dont have warranty anymore.
