What is socket in glove box

Car 2008 535

Anyone know what the socket is on the left had side of the glove box ? Is that the Ipod adapter ?
I looked through car manual however it did not say..

It could well be the torch plug in point. Although on my R/H drive car its on the right of the glove box.

well that was embarrassing I checked again and you were correct it was the torch plug...

I think you are refering to the plug for the flash light, and I also have the adapter that the previous post is refering to.

Definitely for a flashlight. You shouldn't be using "torches" inside your car. Open flames are bad the the interior. (yes, I know a torch is a flashlight on the other side of the pond).

It's a torch over here too...depends on who you ask!

This is where you can plug in the optional Flux Capacitor. Which of course only activates at 88 MPH.

I got my adapter from the dealership they aren't very expensive. I find though that I don't use it very much because I have the other aux plug under the dash on the passsenger side and the 2 in the back. I used the adapter a lot more when I had my e46.
