My Ride: '04 525i exclusive package, black saphire, beige interior, sun roof, steptronix box, stock standard
good people, what are common wear & repair items for an e60 5er? alternatively, what do i need mechanical breakdown insurance for?

My Ride: 2005 BMW 545i
The main quibbles with the E60 are electrical problems and cooling/water pump problems. Other issues like transmission slam and valve/ticking engine problems are bigger issues. Other than that, the car is pretty solid.
