Thumbs up

UK 530d and 535d had a model change in September 2005. Does this mean that all 55 plates were of the new spec or is it possible that 55 plates could be either new or old. What plate would I have to look at to have 100% certainty that it was of the newer spec (e.g. 06?). The easiest way to tell which spec you have is that the newer spec has a start/stop button.

This model change is Prior to the LCI upgrade.

Please place a vote if you have a car around 55, 06 or 56 plate.

Thanks in advance.

Some 55 plates are the new spec and some are the old spec. I have a 55 plate without the start/stop button but I have test driven a 55 plate wuth the start/stop button. So you need to look at the actual car to see if is the later version.

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to work out what level of certainty I can have just knowing from the plate i.e. my current thinking is:

Does it have stop/start button
05 and earlier: No
55: May be
06 and later: Yes

Just trying to see if the above is correct or not.

I'd be surprised if there were many 55s without the Start Stop. The only way that would happen would be if the car was made before Sep but registered late. I have a 55 plate with the Start Stop. If you want to be absolutely sure, buy a 520D, it only came with the Start/Stop
