Today I just learned of Priority 1 Options, specifically a black headliner. What is a Priority 1 Option? What are others beside the black headliner?

I believe rear side airbags are also available as priority 1 options? Or maybe they're just options no-one ever orders, because I never seem to see them on dealer lots...
The term "priority 1" seemed strange to me until my dealer told me it is also used to expedite customer-ordered cars through the vehicle processing center after shipping. (i.e., "priority 1" cars get... first priority).

Priority One options are options that the dealer can't or won't order on their stock cars. I believe customers can only select these. When I was placing my ED order, my dealer told me that you can't do priority one with Euro Delivery. After many members here told me that was wrong and my dealer was full of it, I went back to my dealer, who after calling BWMNA found out that all of you were correct and that I could in fact order prioity one options on my ED car. So I get my anthricite headliner back.

Basically, Priority 1 just means that the option can only be ordered if the dealer already has a buyer committed to that car. That's why the cars available on the dealer's lot won't have P1 (no buyer), and why you CAN get P1 for ED (you're the committed buyer).

Yeah you were right. Turns out my dealer, (who i really like) said he got the bad info from BMWNA, actually got the info from the dealership resident "ED expert". This ED expert was really an expert of misinformation. When I told him Jet says its ok to order P1 on ED my salesguy actually called BMWNA and now I have my anthracite headliner. I am going to have "Jet190rs" sewn into it.
Thanks
