What to make sure is included when buying used?

By the way, let's say something big like the spare tire that should be there isn't... Not just a first aid kit that costs $30. Would you insist that the selling dealer, which is not a BMW dealer, deduct it from the cost, or bring it in later for you?
Is the thinking for most that if they're not really significant (worth hundreds of $), you are buying a used car and have to swallow the cost yourself, unless you are willing to walk away from the car?
