LCI simply denotes that its a facelift of the previous model. Same e60 in terms of model, but for 2008 the e60 gets some changes; i.e LCI.
The letters L.C.I does actually mean something. You can probably find it on this forum with a search. Hope this helps...

The letters L.C.I stands for Life Cycle Impulse.

Not a dumb question, just one that i've been meaning to ask for ages but that you have the initiative to actually ask

About a month to go till my LCI 525d se in Space Grey arrives. Has anyone ever internally combusted due to uncontrollable anticipation I wonder?

Cheers

Andy

I sent this on another thread earlier. It arrived today. They are "supposedly" installing the mods today. I dropped off the wheels and tires at 3:00pm today. It still had to be cleaned up etc. Still "miffed" about the kit thing though. My CA told me today that "whatever" kit he ordered had arrived. I left the dealership around 4:00pm, with the gameplan for him finish the mods and call me for final delivery.

Here are some prelim pics

The square openings in the front and rear bumpers are access ports for tie down rings that screw in and out. They must use them to secure the car on the ship. When the vehicle is delivered, the openings will be covered with plastic doors. A tie down ring is included with your car in the tool kit in case you ever need it.
