This would also be dependent on type of engine you have, mileage, and where you drive to get more specific information...
I voted in the 15 - 20's.

My avg as per the car computer says 20.7 mpg with mixed city 40% / highway driving 60% on my 535i, straight 6 twin turbo with only around 2,000 miles.
I'm hoping that my MPG will improve drastically once I get in the 10,000 miles + on my odo.
Yeah, obviously a key point is whether you have the 6 or 8 cylinder. I have an 8 cylinder and judging by most of the mpg responses, I'm guessing this thread has a lot of 6 cylinders.

yeah dependent on the engine and where you drive: I6, I6TT, V8, V10, diesel; city/hwy. I'm sure our M5 friends in the big citys are at the 10 mpg mark (your > symbol is backwards btw).

I seem to average about 23-24 with 75% highway. When I drove home from MI the OBC said about 27.

Don't forget UK (EU) mpg is calculated differently than US (EPS)

I get about 18-19 mpg, more city than highway, which is pretty much expected for a 550i

I drive mostly city during the week and highway on the weekends. M-F I get about 17-18. Sat/Sun on the highway, I average about 25. On long road trips it's somewhere between 27-28. I hit 32-33 on a road trip when I had my narrower tires.

Geez dude, are you always in traffic? I get about 8-9 days of driving out of a tank and we have the same car!!! I would take it to the dealer for a check ASAP.

When my wife drives it around town, she gets about 21. We did 3 1000 mile trips in the past year. Mostly straight-shot freeway (cruise control 80-90) with some in-town at the terminus. Average for the 3 trips was 27.9, though the computer said 28.9.

This is a 2006 525i with 60K.
