Average for my '06 530I is 24 MPG city/highway. Best was 31.4 on a road trip..... very impressive.

Driving from North Carolina from New Jersey> 32 MPG. City driving > 28 MPG.

That is good,
How many miles on your car? or after how many Miles this is expected?
Mine 528 xi has 3000M, avarage 25mpg.
Do you use any Fuel addiitives /which Octane you use?

other than an interesting fact (I too keep track of my mileage), who really should be too concerned with mpg when owning a higher performance car with the price tag of a BMW?

My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i - no mods. Pretty basic really. I mean it has tires, windows, and a sweet look, what more could a man want? Honestly, I'd like to improve the sound system mildly, and possibly find a worthy engine mod that would increase my BHP by 100 without giving an arm and a leg for. I don't think it's out there, so I'll stay stock and love driving my 530i.

I would think it would depend on the year - right? I mean isn't there a 3.0L change somewhere between 04 and current? I have an 04 and average 19 MPG City and about 24 HWY. The 3.0L in the 530i I have also cranks out 225 HP, oppose to the newier more fuel efficent 255 HP?

I avg. a little over 22 mpg with a combination of highway and city...about 60/40 respectively, and that's doing 52 miles round trip each day. I have an '07 with 2000 miles on it, and I don't drive it too hard.....yet!
